All the tools
Every word, grouped by length
Results are grouped longest-first, because in almost every word game the long play is the winning one. Each word carries its score for the game you pick, and the highest-scoring option for each game is called out at the top so you can see the best play without scanning the list.
Scores you can trust
The three games use different tile values — a J is 8 points in Scrabble but 10 in Words With Friends. We calculate each word separately for each game rather than showing one number and hoping. Blank tiles are handled properly too: a blank scores zero, so a word played with one shows its real value.
Scores shown are face value, before board multipliers like double letter and triple word. See the full letter value tables.
Built for speed
Every search runs against a pre-built index of 156,419 anagram sets covering 172,766 words, so results come back in a few milliseconds. No webfonts, no tracking scripts, no layout shift.
Frequently asked questions
How does the word unscrambler work?
Type in the letters you have and we check them against a dictionary of over 170,000 words. Every word that can be built from your letters is returned, grouped by length, with the score it would earn in Scrabble, Words With Friends and Wordfeud.
Can I use blank or wildcard tiles?
Yes. Type ? or * for each blank tile. Blank tiles match any letter and are worth zero points, and our scores account for that — a word played with a blank shows the score you would actually earn, not the face value.
Which dictionary do you use?
The ENABLE word list, a public-domain dictionary of 172,766 words that closely tracks the words accepted in North American tournament play, plus our own curated additions.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free with no account required. There is no limit on how many words you can unscramble.
Does it solve Wordle too?
Yes. The Wordle solver takes the green, yellow and grey feedback from your guesses and narrows the answer list, then ranks the best next guess by how much information it is expected to reveal.
